On Thursday the 4th of August a team of Venus Taare, Tia Brown and Gemma Kearns debated a Campion team before an audience of over 100 members of the University of the 3rd Age Organisation. The topic, Homework should be banned,was impromptu with a preparation time of one hour. The debate was held at the Arohaina Centreand was warmly received by an enthusiastic audience. The girls won the debate with Gemma Kearns receiving top honours as the best debater.
